Hello Friends!

Welcome to our July Newsletter. We know that these updates have been a little less frequent than previously – that’s because we have been so busy since we closed our shop at the end of February. Hopefully we should be in a position to bring you these updates on a more regular basis.

This issue of the Newsletter features an exciting update regarding 2 new blends and further information with regards to postal service/issues.

2 NEW BLENDS NOW AVAILABLE

We are delighted to announce that we now have 2 new blends available for purchase online. We have been working very hard to source more delicious varieties of Vietnamese coffee since we lost our House and Sua blends towards the end of last year. Hopefully you will enjoy these new blends just as much as we do!

A bag of Dua blend coconut flavored Vietnamese coffee.

First up we have the “Dua” blend. Dua means coconut in Vietnamese and it’s easy to see where it gets it’s name from! As soon as you open the bag you can breathe in the fragrant aromas of this blend with it’s sweet, exotic smell of coconut. Think warm Rafaello chocolate with a hint of hazelnut and what you have is pure pleasure in a cup.

This blend is available as whole bean or ground for filter and can be purchase by clicking here

Our second new blend is both new and old as it is a new version of an old favourite – our House blend. This blend has a slightly different taste to our previous House blend but still has that chocolate smell/taste and the nutty robusta flavour. Unlike our previous House blend this version is now available as whole bean where previously you could only purchase it as grounds. This blend is available here

POSTAGE UPDATE

As we mentioned in our most recent email, Yodel Direct had what they described as a “cyber incident” that, according to reports occurred two weekends ago. This led to packages not being delivered on time and a delay in processing new orders until the issue was resolved. Yodel confirmed to us that things were back to normal last Friday but that due to the “issue” there was a backlog in delivering packages.

This has been a very frustrating time for us as a small business. Unfortunately operating as an online business means that we have to use a courier of some sort. Over the years we have tried a variety of carriers and truthfully, Yodel Direct have been the best of a not very good bunch. Issues with deliveries (apart from during this incident) have thankfully been few and far between but we know that every now and then packages will be delayed or lost. This is unfortunately an inevitability when dealing with couriers.

We would therefore ask each of you to understand that any delays to your delivery are not our fault and that we want you to receive your delicious coffee as soon as possible. For confirmation, we despatch all orders within 24 hours of receiving them (sometimes even same day) so it’s not a case of us holding orders for days before despatch. If your order has taken longer than is reasonable, please get in touch and we will see what we can do for you. We will of course offer to replace or refund any orders that haven’t been delivered to you within a reasonable timescale.

We really do appreciate your business and hope we can continue to serve you delicious coffee for some time to come. In the meantime, enjoy the Summer (if you are lucky enough to be getting weather befitting of the name!!)

Peace and love,

Martin & Gary
